An encouraging sign is that the planes of foreign carriers are gradually returning to heaven. Arab airlines Etihad Airways and Emirates have already resumed flights, as have some of Asian airlines.
In May, European countries began gradual de-escalation. Attention is now beginning to focus on the future and how airlines hope to gradually return to some sort of normalcy. For example, Air France plans to return to heaven by June 30 of 75 of the company’s 224 aircraft. Irish low-cost airline Ryanair, as well as Spain’s Vueling, will resume regular flights to some destinations from July 1. Since May 18, Czech Airlines began a gradual restart of flights with other countries.
The Lufthansa Group (Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines and Air Dolomiti) will resume its flight operations in June with the launch of 80 aircraft to serve a total of 106 European destinations, which will include, according to the company. , the islands of Mallorca, the German Sylt and the Greek Crete.
As explained by the group, this decision responds to the growing interest of customers in air travel, after the gradual relaxation of the restrictions and limitations of the German federal states and the entry regulations of other European countries.

Flight safety
In anticipation of the resumption of scheduled flights, expected in late June and early July, airlines and airports are preparing to follow new security protocols to minimize the risk of infection.
Disinfection of terminals and planes at Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport
These are the main recommendations for passengers of the AENA operator, operator of the Barcelona airport:
- The use of a mask is mandatory in all public outdoor and closed spaces if it is not possible to maintain a safety distance of at least 2 meters.
- Maintain a safe distance from anyone.
- Do not go to the airport more than 90 minutes before your flight.
- Avoid crowds.
In a meeting with journalists, Jean-Brice Dumont, director of Engineering at Airbus, wanted to highlight the capabilities that the current generation of aircraft has to allow the airline sector to function again, minimizing the risk of contagion.
Airplanes are the means of transportation with the most advanced renewal and filtering of air. Its filters retain 99.99% of the particles of dimensions similar to those of the Covid-19 . In addition, the air flow sees from the top down, which also inhibits the spread of the virus.
Other measures include wearing masks that are mandatory for the crew and recommended for passengers, as well as minimizing on-board services to avoid unnecessary contact.
We want to emphasize once again that all the flight data is still preliminary. The exact dates, as well as the flight schedule for August and Autumn 2020, will appear no earlier than the beginning of June.
