For tourists from European countries with high or medium incidence (red or orange), the EU Covid Green Certificate will be implemented as of July 1. The document will allow the European travelers vaccinated, with a PCR or negative antigen test, or who certify that they have been cured of Covid-19, to move through all European countries with ease and without having to go through the current health bureaucratic procedures applied at the airports.
The opening of Spanish borders still clashes with the limits imposed by the issuing countries. The one that worries the Spanish Government the most is that Great Britain imposes a quarantine on travelers from Spain. A decision that could change when in the coming weeks the United Kingdom revises the criteria of its list of countries. Spain is working so that in this change the British Government does not consider the country as a single destination but instead qualifies with a green traffic light the destinations with low incidence in the country, such as the Balearic Islands or Valencia.
Specifically, Spain will allow travelers from the United Kingdom and Japan to enter the country without the need for them to have tested negative in a PCR test for Covid-19 as of May 24, according to an order published in the official gazette of the Been on Friday. British restrictions continue to require travelers returning to the UK from Spain to isolate themselves upon arrival.
